This song has been buried in the back of the filing cabinet for more than 20 years.
It felt too personal, too naked; I was afraid that it might be more about
“Therapy” than about “Craft.” But this past year, it started tugging at me, and I actually tried performing it live, once in London and once in NY. It still felt really exposed. But I’ve learned over the years – that’s our job! To expose a nerve, to get deep into a feeling, and to allow our audience to feel whatever it brings up for them.
It’s always scary, but maybe that’s a good thing.
